Message From the President
This year is going by pretty fast. With summer over and the school year beginning, we, as court reporters, get lost in time. Before we know it, Christmas will be here. Time seems to be an important part in our everyday lives. We just need to remember to add a little relaxation to our everyday lives. It's good for all of us to stop, when we can, and take a look around at our surroundings, our family and friends, and appreciate what we have been blessed with.
About a month ago, a couple of us from the HCRA board attended the Leadership Conference put on by TCRA in Frisco, Texas. This event was a very educational and rewarding experience to have attended. If you don't already know the definition of “Leadership,” we definitely learned it that weekend. According to Mr. Webster, he defines the word "Leadership" as the capacity to lead. We were all born with the capacity to lead. As we conduct ourselves in a professional and ethical manner, our results lead us to success as leaders.
I would like to invite our members to be leaders with HCRA this next year. HCRA always needs good leaders to continue spreading the word of how wonderful and rewarding our court reporting profession is.
I would like to thank the board of HCRA for all of the time and hard work you dedicated to our organization this past year. We should all give ourselves a pat on the back for all the hard work we do each and every day and for choosing a profession that entitles us to be leaders.
I would also like to thank the board of HCRA and the members of HCRA for all the hard work and dedication that has been put into our RED, WHITE and BLUE seminar.
HARD WORK DOES PAY OFF. GO HCRA!!!!!!!
