Message From the President
Best wishes for a Happy New Year!
As 2001 comes to an end, so does my year as President of the Houston Court Reporters Association. I leave with a deep appreciation of the dedication and loyalty of those who have served as officers and directors. The volunteer hours and commitment of these members to our organization are remarkable and the general membership is not always aware of their contribution.
I would also like to pay tribute to the reporters who volunteer their time and energy to our professional organizations. They have been the backbone that has protected our profession.
We must continue to improve and upgrade our profession, and we need your commitment not only in paying your dues, but being a vibrant volunteer. Experience has proven that the relationships formed with your fellow reporters while being involved with our professional organizations reap tremendous rewards, such as knowledge about reporting in different areas and the feedback of ideas and experiences.
Today there are so many opportunities in the reporting field, and it is through our associations we protect our profession.
I am confident that Tamara Vinson, our Year 2002 President, and her team will do a great job. I look forward to participating under her leadership.
